Five Amazing Ways to Lose Weight and Get a Flat Stomach

Five Amazing Ways to Lose Weight and Get a Flat Stomach

Everyone wants to have a flat tummy; I’m sure you want it as well. After years and years of struggling with wanting to have a flat stomach, I have found a few tried and tested methods of losing fat, but before we start discussing those methods, I want to talk to you about the types of fat that we store.

In our midsection, we can have two types of fat: subcutaneous fat and visceral fat. Visceral fat is the more dangerous kind of fat because it sits between the organs and causes a lot of diseases. It is also the kind that is hard to get rid of. On the other hand, subcutaneous fat is easy to handle, and it is not as stubborn as visceral fat could prove to be. So you can get rid of the subcutaneous fat with some effort, but the same cannot be said for the visceral fat. So to get rid of your belly fat, you are going to need to work on both your diet and your workout routine. Now, let’s move to the different ways in which you can lose your belly fat.

  1. Go HIIT on your Belly Fat

An excellent way to lose weight from is HIIT. The first important thing you need to understand is that it impossible for you to make spot reduction of your belly fat. Once you start losing weight, you will realize that the pounds you are shedding off are taking fat away from your entire body, and therefore; the belly fat might take more time to go away than the rest of the body fat. The quickest possible way to do it HIIT and I believe it is the more long-lasting approach towards weight loss as well.

HIIT stands for high-intensity interval training and in this kind of training you workout in short and intense bursts instead of continuously running on the treadmill. So let’s say you are looking for a way to incorporate HIIT into your running routine, it can be done by alternating between walking, running, and sprinting. HIIT is known to be the healthiest possible way of losing weight, and therefore; it is a surefire way of targeting your belly fat and working to reduce it. You should see a notable difference within the timeframe of a month.

  1. Focus On Abs Workouts

Focusing on abs workouts can have both pros and cons. You can work out a lot and lose weight, but eventually, you are going to need to do exercises that can sculpt your abs in excellent shape for you. On the other hand, if you start doing your abs workouts right away, sadly, you won’t get any good shape in your tummy region. Why you ask? Because no matter how much you work on those muscles of yours they are going to covered under layers and layers of fat. I’m sure you don’t want all of your efforts to go to waste therefore; you probably need to focus on the fact that you need to do extensive cardio or HIIT training to get all the fat off of your body first. It is like the Phase I of your training, and eventually, in Phase II you would be focusing on shaping up your abs. Before you lose all the belly fat that you have, all the crunches are going to go to waste because your nicely shaped abs won’t show up unless the fat has gone away. Remember this order, and you should be good to go.

  1. Steer Clear of These Items

Let me tell you what you are not going to buy the next time you hit a grocery store. Salt! The sodium content in the table salt that we consume on a regular basis is high, and it is a significant culprit in disturbing your entire diet. If we have sodium in our bodies in excessive amounts, it can cause our bodies to retain a lot of water which is otherwise known as bloating. So even if you do not have any fat around your middle section, you could be still bloated and look fat. Also bloating can be quite annoying as well. So please do not buy table salt, instead, if you can find Himalayan rock salt, then you should opt for it.

Another item that shouldn’t be on your grocery list at all is alcohol. Try avoiding alcohol because it can lead to gaining fat around the middle section. Alcohol does the same thing to your body that salt does, it can make you feel bloated. You shouldn’t opt for it except for social occasions (that too, in moderate amounts) if you want to look pretty in that super tight dress.

  1. Get Rid of the Stress

I cannot even begin to explain how much stress can cause us to gain weight around the middle section. When we take a lot of stress our body releases cortisol, and excessive levels of cortisol can lead us to gain a lot of belly fat. Women who take a lot of stress are prone to developing syndromes like Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. This syndrome is the worse disease that a woman can have because to this date, no cure for this disease has been discovered. When women take a lot of stress, it can cause them to develop a lot of endocrine disorders, among which PCOS comes on top. Too much stress can also cause women to develop endometriosis, and all of these diseases are quite dangerous. So you need to consider getting rid of stress seriously.

Something that can help you alleviate your stress is yoga. If you perform yoga on a regular basis, you can deal with your stress in a pretty effective manner. Apart from doing yoga, you can also consider Tai Chi. There are so many ways in which you can cure your stress and get back on track.

  1. Stock Up On These Foods

Fiber! You need a lot of that if you want to lose weight and have a slim tummy. If you have gained belly fat, the chances are that it happened because you have had a lot of carbohydrates in your diet. And while carb-free diet is a great idea, I would still recommend that you eat at least some carbs to satisfy your hunger and cravings. But make sure you choose wisely and eat only healthy carbs instead of eating whatever suits your fancy. You should eat a lot of vegetables as well, and in the beginning, you should avoid fruits because fruits tend to have a lot of sugar in them.

Even if you have to eat fruits, try consuming them in moderate amount instead of just chugging down a whole bowl of it. Salads should be your primary diet, and you can eat a lot of white meat with salads that will fulfill your need for proteins.

Incorporate green tea into your daily routine. A cup of green tea in the morning and evening will prove great for your health, and it will help you lose weight much faster.

Another important element you can add to your diet and can get the flat stomach is marijuana. The marijuana is a green plant which helps reduce the belly fat and makes you slender and active. You can get more information here.

While these are the few ways in which you can lose your weight, you have to understand that weight loss is not like a workshop or a training course that only lasts for a specified period. When you make dietary changes, you will understand that you would need to make these changes for a lifetime if you want to stay on a healthy BMI and have an attractive figure. Now and then you can have indulgences and enjoy a cheat meal, but that still doesn’t allow you to get off your diet and go back to the same eating habits that you used to have,

Working out is something that you will feel the need to stick to because, if you stopped working out your energy reservoirs would get affected and you will feel the difference. Another critical thing to remember is that if you quit working out and doing your strength training, it will hurt the health of your muscles. So you are making changes in your entire lifestyle, and you will need to stick to these changes over the course of time to stay as healthy and active as you are.

Weight loss journey is not a temporary change, it is something that is going to stick to you for life, and you’re not depriving yourself by not eating junk food, in fact, you’re doing your body a favor and keeping it healthy. So, remember to be proud of how far you have come and been hopeful about the road that you still have to take. Each day will bring you new goals for your future, and you will realize that making these lifestyle changes is probably the best decision that you ever took. I wish you good luck with your weight loss journey, and I hope this post helped you give a direction to achieving your goals!
