Cell phone use has always been suspect of affecting the brain, but has never been revealed as being dangerous, until now. Many researchers have studied the effects of radiating waves that cell phones are constantly exchanging to maintain lightning speed communication and, also for suspect reasons, never received validation.
Recent reports of final confirmation from a recent study regarding cell phone safety may have you rethinking your cell phone habits.
RFR
Radio-frequency radiation (RFR) waves are emitted from your cell phone as well as wireless internet signals. Researchers are only beginning to understand the effects of RFR which they previously determined as too low energy to do any damage. Yet, studies continue to link this radiation to all sorts of adverse health conditions, including cancer.
It Takes Time
Technological advances have been so rapid researchers have little time to study the overall impact of RFR and other wireless wave safety. These waves, such s RFR, are in fact low energy but over time (5,10,15 years) may be taking a toll.
Free enterprise pushes past these potentially accumulated safety concerns and continue to manufacture with green lights from alleged oversight organizations such as the FDA, FCC, etc. due to inconclusive evidence.
Little has been reported on how evidence, in this case, is slow growing.
Cellular Stress
Dr. Devra Davis is the President of the Environmental Health Trust and she has recently released a statement regarding new research stating that,
“The weight of the evidence is clear: cell phones do cause brain cancer,”
It turns out that when you continually hold your cell phone to your ear you are risking oxidative damage that can lead to cellular degeneration.
Natural News reports that,
“In 2010, the landmark international Interphone study found that ten years or more of cell phone use was associated with a 40 percent higher risk of brain tumors, a 300 percent higher risk of acoustic nerve tumors, and also an increased risk of parotid gland tumors.”
“In 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer classified RFR as a possible carcinogen.”
Although these studies showed how cell phone use held a potentially significant impact on human health, it was difficult to pinpoint the exact process of how it did its damage.
Then in 2015, a study published in Electromagnetic Biology & Medicine showed how RFR played a role in cellular oxidative stress. This is when the natural antioxidants in your body become overwhelmed and rendered incapacitated allowing dangerous free radicals to move in and cause disease.
Reported by Natural News in August of 2015,
“The excess free radicals produced in this situation are able to damage cells and DNA. Free radicals have been implicated as causes of many chronic diseases, including cancer, heart disease, and dementia, and they are also responsible for many of the effects of aging.”
Young Brains May Be Affected Sooner
These days, it seems like children as young as two years old are holding a cell phone.
Studies are showing that cancer caused by RFR exposure may take upwards of twenty to thirty years to develop in an adult brain. However, young brains are believed to be more susceptible.
Dr. Davis comments that “the young brain absorbs twice as much radiation as an adult” and Dr. Hugh Taylor of the Yale School of Medicine comments that, “There’s a correlation between cell phone use in pregnancy and behavioral problems in their children,”
Protect Yourself
There are a few things you can do to try to protect yourself from excessive RFR exposure.
Using your cell phone responsibly should help you avoid hidden health dangers, particularly exposure to RFR. Meanwhile as more studies show the slow accumulation of cell phone dangers maybe these devices will eventually be manufactured with stringent safety measures. Until then, be careful.
